frequently asked questions

How do I know if your style is for me?  You want to document the everyday.  You want to preserve and share your family’s story through images that honor authentic moments. You want to have photographs that are created in and around your home, or in another place that holds meaning for you.

How do I know if your style isn’t for me?  You love posed photos, where everyone is arranged and looking at the camera (I am definitely open to creating a few images like this, but it would not be the focus of our session). You like props, backgrounds, and matching outfits.  There are great photographers out there who will be a better fit for you.

Do you create only black & white images? No. I love both color and black & white images and will provide you with a mix. Check out my Galleries for examples of my color photography.

Will my photos be posted online?  I never identify or tag people in my photos unless I have explicit permission to do so. More details are included in the photo release, which is part of our contract.

Do I have to order products through you?  No, booking a session with me does not require that you order products. That said, each client has access to a private online shop with quality products that I stand behind.  Each of my collections includes a significant print credit, because I strongly recommend placing an order through my professional vendors.  The difference will be worth it! Keep in mind that the only way to own any of the images that we create during our session is to purchase one of the three collections.

How long do I have to make a print order?  Your online gallery is available for 30 days. After that, it may be opened from archives for $25/month.  Additionally, keep your eye out for deals that may be offered throughout the year on additional products. In this case, client galleries will of course be reopened for free for a limited time.
